Whether one cloaks bigotry in Judaism, Christianity or Conservativism, or some questionable medical credentials, it is STILL bigotry. After the Germans targeted Gays and Jews in the 1940's, the media folk like Paramount disclaimed that they had a hand in the atrocities which followed. Today, Paramount is promoting bigotry in America and allowing hatemongers to have free rein to promote prejudice in our society. I, for one will write to every cable TV company, every station and every sponsor, as well as Paramount TV actors and producers, to point out how eager Paramount is to exploit Hate in our society and to use ignorant people like "Doctor" Laura whose ONLY credentials are an MFC and Ph.D in Physiology. NO Psychiatric background whatever. What makes Paramount's hatemongering so awful is that it comes at a time when minorities in America are finally getting the equality denied to them for so long. Paramount's role in bringing back the lies of McCarthyism and Homophobia should cause people to think every time they sponsor programs, rent videos and DVDs, and use cable services. If you use Viacom, let them know, as a subsidiary, how you feel about their parent company. I also have to say that if Paramount wanted to discuss "morality" I am sure it could have chosen someone better to represent it than "Doctor" Laura, whose porn pictures are all over the Internet, who decries "single parents" and champions "marriage" but can't hold her own together. Like Phyllis Schlafly and all the other extremists "Doctor" Laura is a hypocrite of the worst kind. Having lived through the Holocaust myself, I swore I would not remain silent should American corporate exploiters imitate the Germans by promoting Intolerance and Hate, as Paramount is doing. We fought World War Two to STOP this nonsense! Now thanks to Paramount, it is given root in the heart of America. Now, thanks to Paramount, our children (some of whom MAY turn out to be Gay) will be subjected to abuse, torment and hatemongering.
